Blindfold game

Do you know how to play the blindfold game? Well I know, today Room 8 played it. It is simple to play. It is fun!!!

The equipment you need is coloured plastic balls, containers and five people. How you play is put the coloured plastic balls, six of each colour. Then how much colours there is just get that much counters, we timed our south you can to. You pick the colour ball you're getting then blindfold yourself  then you can start trying to get all your balls.

The funny ones was Machelle and Monte. They was funny because they was grabbing any ball and if you grab the wrong ball you're out. Emmanuel was funny to because he put the ball in the wrong container. It was funny playing this game.

My favourite bit was when it was my turn because it was fun and I enjoyed it. It is one of my favourite games because it gets funny and it is awesome. It is fun you should try it.

I think i might try play this game more. It is hard to because you cant see when the blindfolds on you.

Eating Worms

Walt: I am thinking about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.
Guess what? Room 8 made noodles, it is simple and easy. Our teacher called them chicken worms but they're only noodles. Noodles are yum!!

The equipment you need to make it was just a jug of hot water and a packet noodles also a bowl. First you put the noodles in the bowl then you had to wait until the jug boiled. When it was done then we poured it into the bowl. Then you can wait until it goes it gets cold, or you can eat it hot if you want.

It was funny how we ate it. Our teacher fed it to us with tongs, like a bird feeding its baby birds. We had to open our mouths to eat it. Worms are yucky, noodles are nice. It was yummy!!

I think noodles are delicious I also think they look like worms. I think I should have noodles more often.

Walt: Write introductions that orientate and hook in my audience
Have you ever made butter with your class before? We have, the stuff you need to make it is only cream. You shake the cream to make it, it takes like 10 minutes.
We added a little bit of salt into cream, after that we had to shake it for about 10 minutes.  Can you believe it was that easy. I Couldn't!!!

We got to taste it on bread when we were done, but first we had to get in groups of 4. My friend Tom said “It is nice”. But to me it was too creamy because it never went into the fridge.

Well that is how you make butter.

Grass to Glass part 2

As soon as it comes out of the cow, the milk is cooled. After the farmer has milked the cows, the milk gets cooled in a machine. This stops it going off. Then the tanker keeps it cold, while it is transported to the dairy factory.

The milk goes through the separator machine then the, milk and cream are separated. The milk gets separated so we can make different types of milk. The milk you can  make is dark blue light blue and green, the dark blue has medium of cream, the light blue has some and the green has a little bit .If the milk is not separated the milk will be yucky.

By heating the milk on 72 degrees, Bacteria is killed by pasteurisation the milk. It goes throw the pasteurisation to make it kill the germs in the milk, so everyone knows it good to drink. The pasteurisation machine goes to 72 degrees to 3 degrees.

The milk is finally piped into its different bottles. Next time you have a glass, think about all the steps it took to produce it.

cows four stomachs

Cows have four stomachs, compared to us we have only have one. It is kind of weird them having 4 stomachs, they have to because that is how they make milk. They need 4 stomachs because that is how they make milk.

Milking happens twice a day, every morning and  late in the evening. One cow takes 7 to 8 minutes to milk.  It can never be missed or they will get very sick, If they don't get milked they might die.

Now days milking machines do all the hard work,  so its a easy for the farmers. But in the olden days the farmers had to milk with hands. The cows like getting milked in the machine because it is easy.

Living on a farm

Walt: Write paragraphs with a variety of sentence lengths and complexities
Growing up on a farm in the country will be fun, but it will also be
hard work too. We've have been looking at farms and we have been learning about cows and machines in New Zealand.

If I lived on a farm my job that I would like to do is milking the cows. Or you can just go to the shed with the machine to milk them. It will also be interesting using the machine to milk them.
Image result for feeding chickens

My second choice of job would be feeding the chickens and getting the eggs from the chickens if I live on a farm. I would like it because it would be easy and I like chickens.  also I would love to do this job cause you might be first done because it is easy.

It has been interesting to learn about what it would be like to live on a dairy farm, all the jobs you get to help with and animals you care for. But living there full time? No thank you. I think I’ll stick to the city.

Immersion Assembly

Have you ever did a immersion assembly with your school before? Well I have. It is when your whole school meets in the hall and teachers do something special for the school like plays, make movies, give out food. But only the teachers do it. It can be a quiz in it and sometimes they give out stuff. When the teachers do it they do it on their team there is team 1,2,3,4 and 5.

My favourite term was term 1 it was my favourite because they had a cool video of them shopping. Also They threw chocolate out it was the coin chocolate I got 2 of them. I gave one to Bobby John and ate the otter one. The teachers on team 1 was Ms Wild,Miss Dewyer,Mrs lal and Mrs Belt. Team 1 is year 1 they are the little kids in our school. Most my favourite bit i liked on it was them throwing chocolate that is y I liked it.

My second favourite was team 2 because they did a movie of little kids buying ice cream at Pt England shop. When they was done buying they ate it it looked nice. Also y I liked theirs is because  they also did a quiz. The quiz was about ice cream if you get it right you win an ice cream. I even knew who won one it was Christian he was the first person to get 1. That quiz was name 3 ice cream he said “goody goody gumdrops, vanilla, and cookies and cream”. The second quiz was name 1 bran and they said Tip top. The teachers that was in team 1 was Mrs Nalder,Miss Berry,Miss Rapold and Miss Eadie.

My third favourite was my team My team is 4. It was my third because it was funny. The thing they did was a play it was about  boy named bob he found 50 dollars and he was thinking should he keep it to buy him the latest black ops 2 game or find the owner. he decided to find the owner the next day he did his neighbour's lawn and he said he will pay him 30 dollars but he paid him 20. Then he brought a meal from Burger King.

At the end they welcomed the new teachers named Mrs T.A and Mrs Morlan. My favourite part was when team 1 teachers was throwing chocolate cause I like chocolate. My last favourite team i liked was team 3 because it was boring for me.

Basketball

Have you ever played basketball before? Every Thursday we have basketball. It is cool because we learn how to play the game and skills like passing.

The skills I liked was shooting so that is beef. Beef stands for balance, eyes on target, elbow and follow throw. It is simple and I found out while playing you can only use 1 hand to throw. I like passing my favourite kind of passing was could pocket pass. You can do it on your left or right. When you do the pocket pass it has to be wear you pocket is and then throw. I also like overhead passing I like the passing because you use it when you throw it in.

When i arrived i was excited like a monkey finding his bananas. Basketball we only get to play the real game now. We do not learn skills any more. I like playing the real game cause every time I look at the hoop it's saying “shoot”. All the time when we played the team cheered for us saying “go go” or “shoot”.

The thing I like about basketball is that we learn different skills. It is a fun sport and it is kind of challenge for me. I also like our coaches that teach us, their names a Mallike and Yaran.

The blindfold game

Introduction
Have you ever played the blindfold game before? Today our literacy class did it. It was so challenging. The things you need are some blindfolds, some bowls, raw rice, a timer and safety pins.

P2
You have to put the raw rice and safely pins into the bowls. Then you put on the blindfolds and get the timer ready for 1 minute. When it is ready you start it. Then you feel for the safety pins. As soon as the timer goes off you count how many safety pins you have. Then whoever has the most wins.

 P3
When we played it was so cool. It was cool because all of us had fun and it was so challenging for us. It is a hard game and all of us enjoyed the game because it was fun and loud that how you could tell we enjoyed it. when I was playing it was funny and I only got 1 and the safety pins felt like the rice. The people that got most Flynlay and Andrew.

P4
My favorite part is that when flynlay cheated and grabbed the rice and saftey pins in his hands and just put it down. Also I liked how everyone tried.

The chocolate game

WOW! have you ever played the Chocolate game? In Room 8 we played the Chocolate game it was fun.We heard that we were going to play the Chocolate game. things you need are a dice, chocolate, a plate knife and fork and clothes.

This is how to play the Chocolate game. You need lots of players so it can be funny. You need items in the middle so 1 piece of clothing and 5 accessories. If a person rolls a 6  He or she has to go in the middle and dress up. But If a person rolls a 6 when you're still dressing up you have to get un dressed and go back and sit back in the circle.

After we got in a circle well Mrs Lavakula put the chocolate and clothes in the middle of the circle. When Mrs Lavakula was done we started the person rolled the dice. The first person that rolled a 6 was I think was Emmanuel he got dressed but Tavake rolled a 6. When i rolled i got a 1 the dice was going around the circle then Alex got it and he got a 6 and he dressed up and he almost cut a chocolate.

While we were playing the game there was lots of giggling and noise. Mrs
Lavakula was videoing it. It was soo funny when people were dressing up. Some boys wore the tutu. They looked funny in it.Some boys even put on the coconut shell cups they looked really girly. There was lot of laughing. The only people that got some chocolate was Montel and Dezarae.

My favorite part was when everyone was dressing up because everyone looked funny. I liked how all of of our class was laughing and they enjoyed it. It was so cool playing that game.
